Chiropractic Adjustment
Chiropractic adjustments are precise, controlled impulses applied to joints to restore proper movement within the given joint. Adjustments are typically performed by manually taking a joint to end range and applying a quick, calculated thrust. However, instrument assisted adjusting can be used as needed. While audible “pops” or “cracks” may be heard during an adjustment, these sounds do not indicate a successful or unsuccessful adjustment. These sounds are rather the formation of air bubbles within the fluid of a joint.
