Sophie McDonald D.C., M.S.
Dr. Sophie graduated Cum Laude from the University of Western States where she received both a Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Masters of Science in Sports Medicine. She has advanced training in cupping therapy, myofascial release, and movement analysis. During her education, she worked as a team chiropractor for Warner Pacific College and the Portland area school districts. She has also worked extensively on the sidelines of local sporting events including marathons, triathlons, and Crossfit competitions.
A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Sophie grew up running, playing softball, and skateboarding. She went on to compete collegiately in cross country and track and field at Gettysburg College where she completed her Bachelors of Science in Health Science. After college, Dr. Sophie channelled her athletic energy into ultramarathon running and Crossfit.
Sophie brings her own personal athletic and coaching experiences into her patient care. Her number one goal with every patient is to help them be pain free and reach their full potential.
When Dr Sophie is not at work, she enjoys running, particularly trail running. She finds getting “lost in the woods” to be the best stress reliever ever! She also enjoys Crossfit, paddle boarding, and soaking up the laid back atmosphere of Lake Norman.


Alexis Anderson D.C.
Dr. Alexis Anderson graduated from Life University in 2015 with her Doctorate of Chiropractic. She is certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and in nutritional coaching. She also has advanced training in instrument assisted soft tissue techniques and kinesiology taping.
Originally from Ontario, Canada, Dr Alexis grew up with a passion for ice hockey. This passion led her to compete collegiately at Chatham University, where she served all four years as captain. During her time there she learned leadership, understanding, compassion and competitiveness.
As a lifelong athlete, she understands patients’ desires to get back to top performance as quickly as possible. Dr. Alexis understands that each patient has their own individual goals and works with them to achieve them.
When Dr. Alexis is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and precious pooch. They enjoy hiking and lifting heavy weights. She is always up for a new adventure or a new activity to try – so if you have any suggestions, pass them along.
Jaime McDonald – Clinic Director
Jaime is a native of NC, having grown up in Huntersville. She has worked in medical chiropractic offices since 2018. Her role is to oversee the day to day operations of the office as well as working to ensure the safety of the patients and staff. She believes in being a resource and advocate for all patients.
When Jaime is not at work she enjoys being an avid runner and Crossfitter. She has competed in many events from The Transrockies Stage Race in Colorado, Racing The Planet Iceland, Grand to Grand 150 mile stage race in Utah, as well as many iconic marathons such as the Boston Marathon, New York City Marathon, and Chicago Marathon. Jaime runs all of her races while raising money for Herren Project, which is a non profit that helps provide free resources and support for the treatment, recovery, and prevention of substance use disorder. Jaime entered long term recovery in 2010 so helping others live a life free of the chains of addiction is a passion near and dear to her heart.


Claire Anderson – Personal Trainer
Claire is originally from Chapel Hill, NC. Since 2016, she has been proud to call Lake Norman her home. She is a World Institute Training School Level 2 certified personal trainer, as well as being TRX certified. Claire is a former collegiate javelin and hammer thrower, so she additionally has a strong weightlifting background.
Claire is always open to increasing her knowledge through research and training. Before becoming a personal trainer, Claire was a teacher for 7 years. Her love of teaching translates well into helping people reach their full potential and proving that fitness is for everyBODY. She enjoys coming up with fun new ways to do basic exercises to continue to keep the clients engaged and prevent training plateaus.
Besides spending time with her husband and dog, Claire enjoys being active outside whether it be hiking, running Spartan races, playing sand volleyball, or relaxing on the lake.
